Library Haul #1

Part of the home school curriculum is a list of almost a dozen books. Some of these are “required” while the rest are suggested. Since we have a smaller community library available near by I went in with the only requirement of finding books with topics relevant to the unit theme. We do have a good sized home library despite me downsizing our book collection so I will also be pulling books from there to add to our book corner.

With the start of home school we have a new evening routine that includes quiet time with books independently. For this I have set up a shelf in the living room with books for them to choose from. This shelf includes library books and books from home. Here is this week’s library haul. See if you can guess the theme’s we will be working on.

Grandpa Green by Lane Smith

Babies in the Bayou by Jim Armosky

How Big Could Your Pumpkin Grow by Wendell Minor
